Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 17 March 2025 · Applies to pyyrahplus.com

Pyyrah Plus is committed to ensuring that our website and digital products are accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities, impairments, or accessibility needs. If you are having difficulty, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

1. Our Commitment

Pyyrah Plus is committed to making our website and digital products accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Our target is to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance. While we are a small business and do not fall under the mandatory accessibility requirements that apply to public sector bodies in the UK under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, we believe accessibility is best practice and a matter of principle.

2. How Accessible Is Our Website?

2.1 What We Do Well

We have made the following efforts to support accessibility on our site and digital products:

  • Logical and consistent page structure with clear headings
  • Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Colour contrast ratios designed to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimums for body text
  • Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context
  • Forms with visible, associated labels
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second
  • Pages that can be navigated using a keyboard
  • Content readable on both desktop and mobile devices (responsive design)

2.2 Known Limitations

We are aware that some areas of our site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Some older video content may not have closed captions or subtitles — we are working to add these retrospectively
  • Some PDF resources may not be fully optimised for screen readers — we are reviewing and updating these
  • Some images may be missing descriptive alternative (alt) text — we are conducting an audit to address this
  • Third-party tools and embeds (such as payment processors and course platform elements) are outside our direct control and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards

We are actively working to address these limitations. If any of the above issues affect you, please see Section 6 on how to contact us.

3. Technical Specification

Our website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) where applicable.

Our website is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom and text resizing tools
  • High contrast display modes
  • Speech recognition software

4. Browser & Device Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following browsers and platforms:

  • Google Chrome (latest version)
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest version)
  • Apple Safari (latest version)
  • Microsoft Edge (latest version)
  • Mobile browsers on iOS (Safari) and Android (Chrome)

We do not support Internet Explorer. If you are using an older or less common browser and experience issues, we recommend switching to one of the browsers listed above.

5. Third-Party Content & Platforms

Pyyrah Plus delivers its digital products through third-party platforms, including Kajabi (our course hosting platform) and Stripe (our payment processor). These platforms operate their own accessibility standards and policies, which are outside our direct control.

If you experience accessibility issues specifically within Kajabi or Stripe, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can assist or explore alternative access arrangements. You can also review accessibility information at kajabi.com and stripe.com.

6. Reporting Accessibility Issues & Requesting Support

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website and products. If you experience any accessibility barriers or find content that is not accessible to you, please let us know.

  • Conducting a full accessibility audit of our website and key content pages
  • Adding closed captions and subtitles to all new video content
  • Retrospectively captioning existing course videos
  • Ensuring all new downloadable resources are screen-reader friendly
  • Reviewing and adding alt text to all images across the site
  • Testing new features and pages against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria before launch
  • Ensuring any new third-party tools we integrate are assessed for accessibility

We review and update this Accessibility Statement at least once per year, or whenever we make significant changes to our website or products.

9. Preparation of This Statement

This Accessibility Statement was prepared on 17 March 2025 and last reviewed on 17 March 2025.

The statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by Pyyrah Plus. We have not yet commissioned a formal independent accessibility audit, though this is something we intend to pursue as our business grows.

Pyyrah Plus is committed to making digital education accessible to everyone.
